Animal Control Officer Appreciation Week

From April 14-20th 2024, we ran a series of dedicated social media posts highlighting the work being done in the Field Services office at Cincinnati Animal CARE. The goal was to change hearts and mind about what animal control means in 2024, show days in the life of our dog wardens to bring transparency, and highlight career paths to increase job applicants.

Social Media

  • Facebook: 4 posts (3 with photos, 1 with video)

  • Instagram Posts: 3 static posts

  • Instagram Reels: 4 total, 2 promos and 2 Day in the Life with an ACO

  • TikTok Videos: 4 total, 2 promos and 2 Day in the Life with an ACO

MarCom used this week as an opportunity to go out in the field with our Dog Warden’s to get photo/video footage

  • Some of that footage couldn’t be used for social media but can be used for future Warden training

  • MarCom got new photos of all the Wardens for the website

  • MarCom is working with the Field Services team to get updated information for our website

“When I volunteer, I love to see the ACOs bring in a new dog. They carry the injured and scared dogs. They give treats to the confused dogs. They pet all of the dogs. They explain the situation to shelter staff. They want the dogs to thrive not just survive. Thank you.”
