The naturehood toolkit

The Naturehood Challenge emerged from my graduate thesis project researching the effects of the consumer economy on community development and the disconnect of people from one another and the natural world. Primary research was conducted in Savannah, GA with leaders of grassroots organizations and community members engaged in sustainability initiatives within the city.

Based on the key learnings from that research, the following design principles were created in order to address some of the issues that were emerging around community work and change-making. These principles were then used to create the Naturehood Toolkit, and are the ultimate goals of this Naturehood Challenge experiment.
